THE DISTINCTION OF ITALIAN IN SECOND FOREIGN LANGUAGES
Italian Language Program allows the students to get to know each other as they try to popularize the language, which is one of the most popular second foreign languages preferred by students, through various activities that they organize. Prep students and students who chose Italian as a second language came together at the event organized by the Italian Language Program. The students enjoyed Italian dishes as they listened to songs by famous Italian singers all day long.
Buket Kasalı, Italian Language Academic Coordinator, stated that their aim was to keep the students’ interests alive in order to ease the learning process. She said, “Once students know the culture, songs, and cuisine of the language they choose, they learn much better and quickly. We will continue to introduce Italian culture to the students all year long through various activities”.
