    Course Objectives The objective of this course, which is the first step of B1 level in the scope of Common European Framework of Reference, is to make students express themselves in a conversation and verbally.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Students will be able to follow issues encountered during travelling; dialogues on social media and internet; songs depicting Italian social, cultural, and political life; stereotyped phrases, preconceptions, and idioms on different countries and nations; and main points in dialogues including the North-South Italy social differences.
    • Students will be able to analyze comments made on various topics on social media and internet, stereotyped phrases on different countries and nations, articles containing positive-negative thoughts, song lyrics, texts on Italian style and Italian import-export goods across the world, research articles on superstitions and fears.
    • Students will be able to interact during travelling, holiday organizations, social events, organizations, activities, on internet platforms such as Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp…., stereotyped phrases, preconceptions, and idioms on different countries and nations, superstitions and phobias.
    • Students will be able to express themselves during travelling, dealing with travel problems and creating solutions, by using expressions of pleasure or displeasure, dealing with judgmental and prejudiced discourses, national and cultural stereotypes, clichés, superstitions and phobias, also by expressing opinions on social media and internet platforms.
    • Students will be able to produce short e-mails in order to inform their friends about their vacation plans, post and respond comments on social media platforms.
    Course Description This course is designed to prepare students for expressing topics such as travel organizations, social media and internet platforms, Italian education system, Italian health system, Italian stereotypes, stereotypical Italian phrases and preconceptions, superstitions and phobias, Italian business culture, Italian import export business and Italian brands.
