    Course Objectives This course aims to advance students from level B1.1 to level B1.2 in listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills through written translation, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Follow conversations on ecology, home appliances, urban issues, gastronomic features, and conversations with important figures.
    • Analyze texts related to best-selling books, the reliability of social media, vacation preferences, the city of Rome, and the significant contributions of Romans to various aspects of society.
    • Express their thoughts on an incredible event they have encountered, their opinions on different sources of information, their ideas and actions to benefit the environment, and their thoughts on the quality of best-selling books in Italy, including the reasons behind their opinions.
    • Communicate with others about food and dining suggestions and regarding a specific city.
    • Write texts that include book reviews, interview summaries, eco-friendly hotels and ecological features, city, town, and rural life, ideal places to live, future predictions and opinions, significant landmarks, and cultural elements.
    • Translate written texts from Italian to Turkish at the B1.2 level.
    Course Description Here’s the English translation: This course is designed to prepare students on the cultural aspects of gastronomy, the cultural heritage of the city of Rome, the contributions of Romans to society, urban issues, and energy consumption.
