Courses


SPN 102  Spanish Language II

This course is designed to enable students to express themselves in areas that include basic social interactions about daily life and future plans.


SPN 101  Spanish Language I

This course is designed for students to be able to introduce themselves; use classroom expressions and greetings; ask and answer questions about personal details; give a physical description of people and their personality; talk about family; express ability and opinions.


SPN 202  Spanish Language IV

This course is designed to enable students for expressing topics such as food and recipes, appearance and personality, childhood, housing, sports and health.


SPN 201  Spanish Language III

This course is designed to enable students to express themselves in areas that include leisure activities, travels, professional life, weather and social media.


SPN 301  Spanish Language V

This course is designed to prepare students for expressing topics such as job interviews, professions, tourism, health, media and communication.


SPN 302  Spanish Language VI

Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.


SPN 401  Spanish Language VII

This course is designed for students to be able to solve problems encountered while traveling in the geography where the target language is spoken, to describe their experiences, events, dreams and hopes, to explain their ideas and plans, and to understand the knowledge appropriate to their level of business, school and interests.


SPN 402  Spanish Language VIII

The aim of this course is to make students, who are Basic Users in the scope of Common European Framework of Reference, achieve Independent User – B1.


Elective Courses


SPN 301  Spanish Language V

This course is designed to prepare students for expressing topics such as job interviews, professions, tourism, health, media and communication.


SPN 302  Spanish Language VI

Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.


SPN 310  Speaking Skills in Spanish

The student can introduce him/herself to others and use greetings, describe places, pictures and artworks and give his/her opinion and valoration; can ask and answer questions about familiar matters and properly react and interact with others. He/She can produce simple connected presentations on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. He/She can describe experiences and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.


SPN 320  Spanish and Latin Music, Dance and Carnival Culture

By conducting studies on Spanish and Latin American music, dance and culture, students of this course will have knowledge of these broad cultures and will be able to identify the musical structures by the end of the semester.


SPN 330  Spanish and Latin American Culture

This course focuses on offering the student a broad panorama of Spanish and Latin American culture from a representative sample of its history, cinema, writers and painters.


SPN 340  Basic Business Spanish

The students will be instructed about the corporate sector in the Spanish-speaking countries in the world and then they will be introduced to the business culture through multiple real-life scenarios.


SPN 350  Exam Preparation in Spanish A2 Level

The course is designed to prepare students for A2 level certification exams in Spanish by focusing on all four language skills and familiarizing the students with exams through authentic materials such as sample exams, candidate performances and exam recordings. At the end of the course there is a full-length real exam for the student to test all the knowledge acquired throughout the course within the allowed time.


SPN 401  Spanish Language VII
