Course Objectives This course aims to develop the language skills of the students within the scope of B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students who finish this course successfully will be able to: 1. analyze news in order to give opinion about them,
  • 2. follow speeches on the radio or podcast about health news,
  • 3. express past events from a news article verbally and in a written form,
  • 4. express opinions on CVs and job interviews verbally and in a written form,
  • 5. write a CV and a cover letter,
  • 6. analyze advertisements about flats or second hand objects in order to produce an advertisement content as well for self use when needed.
  • 7. interact in dialogues to express the advantages and disadvantages of tourism in their city.
Course Description This course is designed to prepare students for expressing topics such as job interviews, professions, tourism, health, media and communication.
