Course Objectives This course aims to provide students with knowledge and increase their awareness about Spanish and Latin American dance, music and festival culture by making use of the A2 level listening, reading, speaking skills, painting, PPT, video and other visual communication tools according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students will be able to classify different forms of music and dances,
  • • communicate about the carnivals and cultures of various regions during their Erasmus and personal travel abroad,
  • • analyze short texts about world famous musicians, dancers and dance culture,
  • • follow the songs they will listen to in different musical maqams and accents,
  • • compare different dance cultures according to their genres and regions.
Course Description By conducting studies on Spanish and Latin American music, dance and culture, students of this course will have knowledge of these broad cultures and will be able to identify the musical structures by the end of the semester.
