Course Objectives This course aims to improve the students’ listening, reading, speaking and writing skills at A2 through the knowledge of Spanish and Latin American Culture, according to the Common European Framework of References.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • By the end of this course, students will be able to analyze the most important and recognized samples of Hispanic American culture (art, film, photography, architecture, etc.),
  • • follow history documentaries and movie clips and short films,
  • • describe orally Spanish and Latin American painters, writers, filmmakers and historical figures and their most outstanding features,
  • • interact by sharing their opinions in different contexts such as cinema, history and painting,
  • • compare cross-cultural similarities between Latin America, Spain and Turkey,
  • • discuss a representative sample of paintings, texts and film fragments from the Hispanic world through critical thinking skills.
Course Description This course focuses on offering the student a broad panorama of Spanish and Latin American culture from a representative sample of its history, cinema, writers and painters.
