To The Attention of Module 4 Level D Prep Students!

At the end of Level D, the Module Exit Exam is not administered, and in-modular assessments determine students' success. Level D students whose in-modular assessment average is 65.00 or above and who have not exceeded their absenteeism limit (maximum 60 hours per module) qualify to take the Proficiency in English Exam.  The PIE Exam will be conducted on June 18-19, 2026. Students are expected to adhere to any revisions made to the PIE Exam schedule.

The PIE Exam lists will be shared on June 17, 2026 (Wednesday)  on our SFL website: https://sfl.ieu.edu.tr/en/announcements/type/all. Please read the announcements carefully.

PIE EXEMPTION

Regardless of the level they were placed in at the beginning of the academic year, students who successfully complete the progressive levels in the English Preparatory Program and reach Level D, and who also successfully complete this level, will be exempt from taking the PIE and proceed to their academic program if the average of the end-of-module assessment scores they obtain per module (Level A, B, and C Gateway Exam Score and Level D Module Assessment Score) is 80 or above. Students exempt from the PIE cannot take the PIE Exam.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PIE EXAM AND SCORES

In the PIE exam, students must score at least 40% or above in each section (writing, listening, reading, grammar, and speaking). Additionally, students must achieve a total score of at least 65.00 to be considered successful in the Proficiency in English exam for associate and undergraduate programs.

*There is no make-up exam for the PIE Exam.

JUNE 18, 2026 (THURSDAY)
