SCHOOL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES – ENGLISH PREP PROGRAM – MENTORING PROJECT

The Mentoring Project aims to offer an individualized relationship between a mentor and a Prep Program student. Mentoring helps students to raise their awareness about their progress within the Prep Program. As they progress, it also provides students with the opportunity to enhance their chances of academic success and to create a sense of belonging at the university.

Mentors may meet their mentees to listen to, encourage, and make suggestions on their current performance. Areas discussed include Prep experience, academic performance, study skills, and setting goals. The mentoring meetings are considered extremely important as they are designed to support students in acquiring the skills necessary for them to be successful in their Prep studies and take full advantage of what our Prep Program has to offer.
