English Proficiency Placement Test Results and PIE Exam List – September 7, 2026

07 September 2026 English Placement Test Results and English Proficiency Exam Venue List – To the Attention of Late-Registered Students

In order to determine the English proficiency levels of students who have completed late registration at our University, students are first required to take the English Placement Test (İDBS). Students who score 70.00 or above on the İDBS are eligible to take the Proficiency in English Exam (PIE). Students who score below 70.00 on the İDBS will study in the English Preparatory Program.

Detailed information regarding Preparatory Program levels and course books for students who will study in the English Preparatory Program will be announced on the SFL website (https://sfl.ieu.edu.tr/en/announcements/type/all) on 18 September 2026. Classes will begin on 21 September 2026.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE PIE AND PIE RESULTS

1. Students are considered successful in the PIE if they score at least 40% in each section (Writing, Listening and Reading, Language, and Speaking) and achieve an overall PIE score of 65.00 or above for associate and undergraduate programs.
2. Students are required to attend all sessions of the PIE.
3. Please note that there is no make-up exam for the PIE.
