(04-05 August 2025) End of Year Proficiency in English Exam List – To the Attention of Continuing Prep Students

The End-of-Year Proficiency in English Exam list for the written component to be administered on 04 August 2025 is listed below according to student ID number. The End-of-Year Proficiency in English Speaking exam will be administered on 05 August 2025. The Speaking Exam appointments will be announced on 05 August 2025 after 17.00 on our SFL website (https://sfl.ieu.edu.tr/en/announcements/type/all). Please read the announcements carefully. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PIE EXAM AND SCORES

In the PIE exam, candidates must score at least 40% or above in each section (writing, listening and reading, grammar, and speaking). Additionally, candidates must achieve a total score of at least 65.00 for associate and undergraduate programs, 70.00 for postgraduate programs, and 80.00 for the English Language Teaching postgraduate program to be considered successful in the Proficiency in English exam.

The first session of the End-of-Year English Proficiency Exam will take place on August 4, 2025, starting at 09:00. All students are required to be present at their exam locations no later than 08:40.

You are responsible for reading and following the rules and guidelines provided in the attached exam handbook. Please read it carefully and make sure you are well prepared.

END OF YEAR PIE EXAM SCHEDULE

AUGUST 04, 2025 (Monday)

Exam Prep & ID Check

Time: 08.40-09.00

Duration: 20 minutes *Students are not allowed to leave the exam room after ID check.

Session I - Writing (80 minutes) 09.00-10.20

BREAK: 10.20-11.00 (40 minutes)

Exam Prep & ID Check

Time: 11.00-11.15

Duration: 15 minutes *Students are not allowed to leave the exam room after ID check.

Session II – Listening & Reading (105 minutes) 11.15 – 13.00

BREAK: 13.00 - 14.00 (60 minutes)

Exam Prep & ID Check

Time: 14.00-14.15

Duration: 15 minutes *Students are not allowed to leave the exam room after ID check.

Session III – Use of English (60 minutes) 14.15 – 15.15

AUGUST 05, 2025 (Tuesday)

Session IV - Speaking 09:00-16:00

12 minutes per student
