FOREIGN LANGUAGES FESTIVAL
Foreign Languages Festival, which was organized by Izmir University of Economics School of Foreign Languages, took place on April 20, 2015 at the Conference Hall with the participation of approximately 750 students and teachers from 59 high schools in Izmir. The objective of the festival was to increase awareness about languages, and promote university environment by offering them series of “Foreign Language – Culture and Art” activities which included entertaining language activities and popular tastes from respective countries, and music and dance performances by IUE Musicians Club. Students wore traditional outfits of the respective countries at the Spanish – German – Russian - Chinese – Italian – English – Japanese stands. The festival, which was celebrated with great enthusiasm, is planned to be traditionalized.
Izmir University of Economics School of Foreign Languages, with its vision to lead in foreign language education, will continue to bring together more students with similar activities.
